From April 29 to May 5, 2025, OUI Inc. participated in the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion at EXPO 2025 Osaka Kansai. Over the course of the week, we introduced our Smart Eye Camera to a wide and diverse audience.

More than 1,500 people visited our booth, including families with children, older adults, students, and guests from overseas. Many were surprised by the compact size and simplicity of the device, asking, “Can something this small really check the eyes?” Their reactions underscored the strong interest in cataract screening and remote eye care.

Throughout the week, we also had meaningful conversations with healthcare professionals. Among them were ophthalmologists, nurses, pharmacists, emergency doctors, and medical students. They were especially interested in the camera’s features, including AI-based cataract detection & grading, anterior chamber depth estimation, and possible use in telemedicine. Some visitors even asked to try the device on the spot. These moments often led to deeper discussions and new connections that we hope to build on in the future.

OUI Inc. will keep working to bring eye care to more people. We believe that smart, simple tools can help close the gap in medical access and make a real difference where care is needed most.
