From June to July 2024, OUI Inc. hosted two interns from the United States – Ms. Breanna Sameit and Ms. Suhitha Reddy. Ms. Breanna Sameit is a pre-medical student at East Carolina University, and Ms. Suhitha Reddy is a medical student at Penn State University’s new medical program.
During their short stay, they participated in numerous meetings and successfully established new connections, particularly with North American physicians. Additionally, they attended the Joint Meeting of the 80th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and the 49th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology, held in Hamamatsu in June, where they presented our Smart Eye Camera to many healthcare professionals.
On July 23, they delivered their final presentations, showcasing their activities and learnings during the internship. Their presentations were not only impressive but also reflected their enthusiasm and hard work.
Furthermore, during their time in Japan, they had the opportunity to visit many cities, enjoying the culture and cuisine. Despite the short duration, it seems they were able to fully immerse themselves in the experience.
