On April 26 and 27, 2025, OUI Inc. participated at the exhibition at the annual conference of the Taiwan Society of Home Health Care, held in Chishang Township, Taitung County, Taiwan.

  Chishang is a rural area in eastern Taiwan known for its rice farming and sunlight. Many local residents expressed concerns about cataracts, especially considering that the nearest ophthalmologist is often more than an hour away. Therefore, there is a growing interest in portable medical devices such as our Smart Eye Camera.

 At our exhibition booth, the Smart Eye Camera ,equipped with an AI-powered cataract diagnostic feature,drew considerable attention. Many visitors were surprised by its diagnostic accuracy and ease of use. Some physicians expressed interest in adopting the device on-site, and several nursing organizations signed up for trial use. AI-based ophthalmic diagnostic tools remain rare in the region, which contributed to the high level of interest.

 Improving access to medical care remains a major challenge in this region, especially in remote communities. OUI Inc. will continue working to bring ophthalmic care to underserved areas through the power of technology.
