On December 7, 2024, Dr. Shimizu, CEO of OUI Inc., was honored with the “Healthcare Leader of the Year – Japan” award at the Forttuna Global Excellence Awards 2024.
This award recognizes individuals and organizations that demonstrate outstanding leadership and innovation in health, wellness, and business. This year, over 350,000 applications were submitted. After a rigorous selection process, 94 winners were chosen.
Dr. Shimizu was recognized for his dedication to reducing global blindness by 50%. His efforts in developing and promoting our Smart Eye Camera (SEC) played a crucial role in receiving this prestigious award.
The award ceremony took place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, bringing together over 150 participants from 47 countries, including global leaders and experts. Dr. Shimizu was the only Japanese awardee and took the stage to share insights on OUI Inc.’s initiatives and the future of vision care.
